Attendance Reminders

Attendance does matter for all classes. There are state-mandated seat-time requirements in order to earn the credit for the course for which the student is enrolled. Click the image to view these mandates. Any student who exceeds the state-mandated attendance requirements will receive an FA (Failure Due to Attendance). The cost to clear an FA is $30 for each day over the state-mandated requirements. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your administrator (see below) at 803.699.2800. ONLY SENIORS WILL BE ABLE TO CLEAR FAs THIS 2ND SEMESTER. Underclassmen will be able to clear their FAs during the summer.


National Recognition Programs Application Opens TODAY!!!

The College Board National Recognition Programs are now housed within BigFutureยฎ and will award academic honors to top-performing Hispanic, Black, Indigenous, and rural students. The 2023 application cycle will open Wednesday, January 18. Eligible sophomores and juniors will receive an email from BigFuture inviting them to apply. Students will also be able to include high school counselor names and emails on their BigFuture Recognition applications.

Student eligibility is determined by performance on the PSAT/NMSQTยฎ, PSATโ„ข 10, or APยฎ Exams. If you do not receive an invitation to apply when the application cycle opens, you can self-nominate through the College Board. Click the image to review information about these programs.


RSD2 Accepting Hackathon 2023 Teams

Improve your school!ย  Improve your local community!ย ย Submit an idea, share ideas with other high schoolers across the district, and form a team to hack with during this 9-hour event. Top projects will get the funding and resourcingย to make their ideas come to life before the end ofย this school year.

Missed the AI Scholarship Level 1 Deadline?

No worries. You still have an opportunity to learn about AI with instructors from Stanford, MIT, and Carnegie Mellon University, even if you do not have any coding experience. AI Camp teaches future leaders about coding, AI, how to learn, and how to work through creating impressive AI products and tech internships. Students learn about AI products through first-hand experience of being an engineer, a product manager, or a data scientist.

Spaces are limited and First come, first serve. So, click the image to apply TODAY for a scholarship to the AI program, valued at over $2,000. Only 10 minutes of writing can get you $2.000 or more.
