Carlson, Howard, and Washington were selected to participate and perform in the SCBDA 2024 Region 3 band clinic! They competed against approximately 60 – 100 students per instrument from Richland One, Richland Two, Chester, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lancaster, and York County high schools.

That’s correct, create a fun environmental project for a chance to receive $10,000! The National Geographic Society is delighted to share the Slingshot Challenge. This is an opportunity to showcase students’ ideas to slingshot our planet forward. Calling all 13-18 year old students to create a one-minute video with a solution to a current environmental problem. From cleaning our air to reviving our oceans, students are encouraged to creatively tackle some of the biggest environmental challenges we face to create a better world for everyone.

We Love Our Veterans
As we approach Valentine’s Day, Student Activities prepares for their Valentines for Veterans project. Last week they began writing Valentine’s Day cards to our local Veterans. All cards will be delivered to American Legion offices in the community.
