Congrats, RNE Junior Scholars & Palmetto Fellows

Dr. Thomas, the Administrative Team, and the School Counseling Department celebrated the Class of 2026 Junior Scholars and the Class of 2025 Early Palmetto Fellows Scholarship recipients on Thursday, April 10th. 

Palmetto Fellows Scholarships Seniors are eligible to receive the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship based on their rank, test scores, and grade point average.  The students will receive up to $6,700 their freshman year of college and up to $7,500 or $10,000 (depending on their major) their sophomore, junior, and senior years of college. 

The Junior Scholars were nominated based on their grades, rank, test scores, leadership experiences as well as their dedication to community service projects.

Annual Registration IS Open

Richland Two is dedicated to providing a high-quality learning environment for all of our students. To uphold this commitment, it is essential that we maintain accurate and up-to-date student information. We achieve this by requiring parents to verify their information and confirm their residence annually. This process, known as Annual Registration, includes providing proof of residence, reviewing and completing parent/guardian forms, and verifying student information.

RNE and other Richland District Two schools need to verify that your information has not changed and is accurate for the upcoming school year. Annual Registration is where you complete all parent/guardian forms such as transportation, medical, and Responsible Use Policy (RUPs), that allow your student to access district networks and computers.

At SIPA’s annual convention held in March in Columbia, South Carolina, students and advisers attend sessions taught by national award-winning instructors. High School journalism organization, representing 15 states, also compete in on-site competitions and enjoy social and networking opportunities with other students and advisers from the Southeast. Need Community Service & Love to Golf?

Students do you need community service hours? Upper Deck Golfing is a once in a lifetime experience where students can play a 9 hole golf course in a major MLB or NFL stadium on May 9th and 10th. They’ve transformed these USC-Columbia’s stadiums, all while raising money for their charitable partner Stand up 2 Cancer. Now they are looking for volunteers to help out with the event in exchange for a free round of golf inside the stadium!! Yes that is a FREE ticket to golf a round, FREE parking, FREE food, & a FREE shirt. Volunteers can play their round of golf before or after their shift or anytime that weekend, unless they are volunteering for the last shift on Saturday. You will need to come in 1 hour before your shift to play your FREE round of golf. You can sign up individually or register a group lead. For more information, click the image.
