StuCo: 15 Baskets, 1000 Meals, Limitless Impact

This past weekend several of our Student Council students were donating their time to give back to the community. They participated in Forward City Church’s Season of Giving by preparing 15 Thanksgiving baskets for families. On Saturday, they traveled to Orangeburg to help serve 1000 people a meal. Their willingness to devote their time and energy truly embodies the spirit of our school and shows the powerful impact student leaders can have on the wider community.

The Power of Partnership: Thank You for Connecting

We would like to thank the Forest Acres Rotarians for a successful Meet & Greet Drop-In. Their support for our students and the community is sincerely appreciated.ย

Enjoy Your Thanksgiving Break!!

๐Ÿ“ข Don’t Miss Out! Check Your Attendance Status NOW!

Just a quick reminder that attendance is absolutely criticalโ€”not just for today, but for your future success. We know life happens, but your presence in class truly matters!

Why You Need to Be Here Every Day

Your attendance builds essential life habits like reliability and discipline that are crucial whether you plan to be Enlisted, Enrolled, or Employed after graduation.

More immediately, remember the rule: State law requires students to attend school a minimum of 170 days out of the 180-day school year to receive course credit. If you miss too many classes, you could lose credit and be required to complete Seat Time Recovery (which means extra work!).

Take Action Today!

The best way to stay on track is to be informed. Our Attendance Matters page is your go-to resource for understanding the rules and checking your status.

Use the site to:

  1. Log in to PowerSchool and view your current absences.
  2. Use the handy Seat Time Calculator to see if you need to recover hours.
  3. Find information about the Edgenuity (Blended Learning) program for Credit Recovery.

Don’t wait until it’s too late! Stay present, stay informed, and stay successful.

Just a quick reminder thatย attendance is absolutely criticalโ€”not just for today, but for your future success. We know life happens, but your presence in class truly matters!

Celebrating Our Future Educators!

Congrats to our Teacher Cadets for successfully completing a full-day field placement experience at Conder Elementary School. After dedicating over an hour per day, four days a week, for more than a month in their assigned classrooms, these cadets recently culminated their experience by spending a full instructional day with their elementary classes. This intensive fieldwork underscores the students’ commitment and dedication to exploring a career in education. Their foundational work is anticipated to have positively impacted the lives of the students they mentored. Interested prospective students are encouraged to be on the lookout for Teacher Cadet applications for the 2026-2027 school year, to be released next semester.

H.O.P.E 365 – A Miracle on Cavalier Street

Our Holiday program known as H.O.P.E. 365, is underway! H.O.P.E. 365 is a student-led community service project at Richland Northeast High School.  The goal of our project each year is to help those in need in our community.

This fall we are collecting non-perishable food items to donate to local food banks; socks, toiletries, & feminine hygiene items to donate to various homeless shelters; and toys & bikes to help Stuff-A-Bus.  We are also adopting families and senior citizens through Families Helping Families and sponsoring a blood drive. Thanks to you, 11 of our 20 families have been adopted. Please help us reach our goal. Click HERE to adopt a family, senior citizen, or disabled adult.
