Fall Magnet Events

Our Magnet students will attend several field studies from now until December. Students will not be permitted to travel off campus without their signed Parent Permission form. So please remind your child to share any off campus field study permission forms with you for your signature. Also, if you are a new Magnet student and parent, your signed Magnet Contract Signature Sheet, and the District Academic, Attendance, and Discipline Code of Conduct Signature Sheet must be returned before your child will be allowed to participate in any field studies. All Magnet students can participate in the following events unless otherwise stated.

Tuesday October 22, 2024, 6:00-8:30 PM: Beltline Bowling Presents: A Family Affair
Wednesday Oct. 23, 2024: McNair Engineering Center, USC Columbia (Horizon Seniors)
Tuesday Oct. 29 2024: Sesquicentennial State Park (Magnets Freshmen)
Thursday Oct. 31 2024, 6 – 8:30 PM: Trunk-or-Treat
Tuesday Nov. 12, 2024, 4:30 – 6:00 PM: Magnet Students Game Night (Inviting 8th Graders)
Thursday Nov. 21, 2024: Nephron Pharmaceuticals, Columbia (Horizon Seniors)
Friday December 6, 2024, 6:30 – 9:00 PM: Winter Soiree (Dance)
Dec. 2024 (Date: TBA): Richland County Public Library (Horizon 10th – 12th grades)

Our Magnets’ Ambassadors are gearing up for a packed schedule of events as we approach Magnet and Choice Season in Richland 2. Magnet Ambassadors & officers will be available to assist with the following events. RNE staff, students, parents, and community members please share the following dates with your families and friends. Invite them to see why RNE is Where Joy Resides.
