The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) recently announced that our School Counseling Department as a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMPยฎ) for their committment to delivering an exemplary school counseling program. Congrats, Bailey

Sophomore Bailey Jones earned 1st Chair Timpani in the Alternate Band for Region 3. For the competition Bailey had to perform a solo for battery and mallets for 2 minutes and correct define a 5 of musical terms in front of the judges. The final round was technical performance in which he was judge on overall level of sound quality and general approach to performing percussion music. Bailey will participated in the Region 3 Band Clinic held at Nation Ford High School February 21 – 22, 2025. Please help us congratulate Bailey on his accomplishment.

Seat Time Recovery Tomorrow!!!


The deadline to clear 1st Semester FAs has been extended to February 19th. Students must clear all 1st semester FAs by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, February 19th. THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSIONS AFTER THIS DATE. Any FAs not cleared by this deadline will remain on students’ transcript, which may result in students not being promoted to the next grade level and/or retaking a course that they passed the next school year. Please check your email for an important message from Mrs. Robinson. Students who have accumulated Seat Time for 2nd Semester will receive an email from Dr. Myers and will be encourage to begin attending Seat Time Recovery as soon as possible.
Cooperative Youth Summit Deadline Feb 28
The 2025 Cooperative Youth Summit is scheduled for July 14-17 in Columbia, S.C. Each year, Fairfield Electric Cooperative selects four rising juniors to the Cooperative Youth Summit that takes in our state’s capital. Students will experience Columbia by touring the statehouse, meeting state lawmakers, and seeing how co-ops are preparing for our state’s energy future. The trip is all expenses paid. Don’t Forget To Check Grades & Attendance

We only have 3 months left before this school year end. Please begin checking your child’s grades and attendance in Parent Portal every week. REMINDER:
- All students must pass English and Math in addition to other credits to be promoted to the next grade level.
- Seat Time Recovery is required for every absence after 5 in a one-credit (A-B) course and after the 3rd absences in a 1/2-credit (A or B) course.
We offer tutoring and Seat Time Recovery Monday-Thursday after school. Seat Time is also offered the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. If you have any issues or concerns, please contact your child’s counselor or Magnet or AVID Director. They can set up a parent conference with all your child’s teachers and administrators. NHS Presents…Adopt-A-Highway

Mrs. Crigger and our school’s National Honor Society Organization will meet this Saturday, February 8th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM to help keep our school campus and Brookfield Road clean. All students are encourage to attend. It is also a perfect opportunity to clear Detention hours and earn community service hours for any school organization that you are a member of.

TODAY IS…Last Day to Clear 1st Semester Seat Time


Any student who has not cleared their Seat Time for 1st semester will be required to attend in person. All Edgenuity courses will be disabled at 11:59 PM tonight. Any students who have not completed their Seat Time will get an additional extension, but will be required to attend in person until all Seat Time in recovered. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact a member of the Attendance Team at rnh+attendance@richland2.org.

The Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) is offering a FREE webinar on TODAY at NOON on the differences between the ACT and SAT. Both are standardized tests commonly used for college admissions, but each has its own format and emphasis. Some colleges and programs may prefer one test over another, but both are widely accepted.
