The Comeback: Navigating Success 2nd Semester

Our “The Comeback” initiative provides students with structured pathways to recover grades and attendance to stay on track for graduation. Students with failing grades between 50-59 can utilize Credit Recovery via Edgenuity to earn a “P” grade, while those struggling with current major assignments can access Content Recovery, provided they meet a one-hour tutoring requirement within a two-week deadline. To support these efforts, free after school tutoring is available Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Upstairs A Building, covering Math, English, Science, and History.

Monitoring attendance is equally critical, as exceeding absence limitsโ€”such as five days for a semester block courseโ€”results in an “FA” (Failure due to Attendance) and loss of credit. To recover “FAs,” students must serve 1.5 hours of Attendance Recovery time for each excess absence. AR sessions are offered Monday through Thursday after school and on the 2nd and 4th Saturday each month. Ultimately, promotion is strictly credit-based, requiring a progression from 6 total credits for 10th grade up to 24 credits for graduation, emphasizing that academic success is earned through consistent focus and making the right choices.

Frasier Honored at Richland Two Black History Program

We are thrilled to celebrate one of our dedicated instructional aides, who is one of the honorees at Richland Two Black History program. Our very own Mr.  Elijah Frasier was one of the Black History Month Honorees last night at our District Office.  Not only was Mr. Frasier honored, but we had several Richland Northeast HS staff members and students respresented in the program.

Thank you for all of your help over the years, Mr. Frasier, and congratulations to the program participants who represented Richland Northeast very well.
