We Want to Give YOU Thanks

As we prepare for the Thanksgiving break, November 23-25, we are grateful for everyone who has helped to restore a routine for showing up to school while supporting students andย families.ย Daily routines are essential for reducing stress and creating a sense of security, especially after the chaotic transitions experienced over the last two years.
As long as your child is healthy, please encourage showing up to school and class ON TIME when school is in session. Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as connect to peers and their teachers. Thank you to our…
- students and their families who do their best to show up to class ON TIME every day even when it isn’t easy.
- teachers who have gone above and beyond to help make sure their classrooms are welcoming learning environments where students can thrive.
- administrators who help us work together to ensure we are healthy and safe, feel a sense of community and experience the excitement of an engaging learning environment.
- support staff and community volunteers who provide the extra hands and attention our children need.
If your family or your child needs support, please reach out to our Social Worker, Mrs. Pate, by email or by phone. May November 23-25 be restful and healing. We look forward to seeing you again when school resumes on Monday, November 28th.
Thank you for partnering with us!

Attendance Can Stop You from Moving to the Next Level
Did you know if students miss more than 5 days in a semester class or 10 days in a year-long class, they will receive an FA (Failure Due to Absences) in the course? In other words, they will not receive credit in the course, even if they receive a passing grade. Additionally, if it is a Math or English course, they may have to take the course over, not be promoted to the next grade level, or be able to graduate. We can’t say this enough — ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD’S ATTENDANCE AND GRADES IN PARENT PORTAL. 1st semester will be over in January. Contact Ms. Figueroa, our Attendance Secretary, or your child’s counselor TODAY to create a plan for your child so that he/she can be successful at Richland Northeast.
