Attendance Can Stop You from Moving to the Next Level
Did you know if students miss more than 5 days in a semester class or 10 days in a year-long class, they will receive an FA (Failure Due to Absences) in the course? In other words, they will not receive credit in the course, even if they receive a passing grade. Additionally, if it is a Math or English course, they may have to take the course over, not be promoted to the next grade level, or be able to graduate. We can’t say this enough — ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD’S ATTENDANCE AND GRADES IN PARENT PORTAL. 1st semester will be over in January. Contact Ms. Figueroa, our Attendance Secretary, or your child’s counselor TODAY to create a plan for your child so that he/she can be successful at Richland Northeast.
