$500 BigSun Athletic Scholarships

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. They are offering an annual scholarship to deserving student-athletes, regardless of which sport they play or what their capacity in that sport is. The successful applicant will be a high school senior currently involved in some sport at that institution or in the community. Interested in learning about AI with instructors from Stanford, MIT, and Carnegie Mellon University, even if you do not have any coding experience. AI Camp teaches future leaders about coding, AI, how to learn, and how to work through creating impressive AI products and tech internships. Students learn about AI products through first-hand experience of being an engineer, a product manager, or a data scientist.

Volunteers Needed, Stuff a Bus

Living Springs is once again having the Stuff a Bus event to help in our quest to continue supplying 70 backpacks to three Richland 2 schools – Rice Creek Elementary, Joseph Keels Elementary, and Blythewood Academy.  

On Saturday, February 11th from 9 AM – 1 PM, preschool buses will be parked in front of Kroger on 10136 Two Notch Rd (by Sparkleberry Rd) and 1028 Roberts Branch Parkway (off Killian Rd). Flyers that include the items needed will be distributed to customers entering each store. Items will be collected as they leave.  

This is a great opportunity for students to collect community hours or clear detention hours. Students and parents can click HERE to register for one-hour increments or contact Karen Kranz at 716.998.1157 or kbkranz@gmail.com.
