Attendance Can Stop You from Moving to the Next Level

Did you know if students miss more than 5 days in a semester class or 10 days in a year-long class, they will receive an FA (Failure Due to Absences) in the course? In other words, they will not receive credit in the course, even if they receive a passing grade. Additionally, if it is a Math or English course, they may have to take the course over, not be promoted to the next grade level, or be able to graduate. We can’t say this enough — ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD’S ATTENDANCE AND GRADES IN PARENT PORTAL. 1st semester will be over in January. Contact Ms. Figueroa, our Attendance Secretary, or your child’s counselor TODAY to create a plan for your child so that he/she can be successful at Richland Northeast.

Silver Cadets – 3 Peat Grand Champions

On November 12th, the Silver Cadets took the floor in their last band competition for the 2022-2023 school year. With Hurricane Nicole approaching the area, most bands including ours were faced with not rehearsing all week in preparation for the biggest show-style band competition in the state of South Carolina hosted by Dillon High School. But that did not stop our Silver Cadets from taking the show and coming home with five 1st Place trophies (Hornline, Percussion, Dance, Color Guard, Class 1A), an Overall Superior Rating, and being named the Grand Champions. Way to Go Silver Cadets. Can’t wait to see what you have planned for the next season.
