    4B & 3B Final Exams TODAY!!!

    Report to you 4B class today at 8:50 AM. If you missed your EOC exam, contact Mrs. Robinson (marirobinson) or Dr. Myers (mmyers@richland2.org) to schedule a makeup exams. All other makeup exams must be scheduled with the teacher.

    Last Day for R2i2 Classes

    Attention R2i2 students, this will be your last day going to R2i2. Starting Thursday, December 19th, please report to Study Hall in E210. You will be expected to sign in and remain there until the end of the block. Not reporting to Study Hall will result in you receiving an absence. Remember we have a different schedule tomorrow. Students will go to 1st and 3rd block tomorrow and 2nd and 4th block Friday. You will report to Study Hall during the block that you attend R2i2.

    SCATA/NAFEPA Scholarship DUE Next Month

    The South Carolina Association of Title I Administrators (SCATA)  and the National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators (NAFEPA) are offering scholarships to Title I high seniors. The purpose of the scholarship program is to financially support post-secondary education for qualifying high
    school seniors attending their first year of college.

    SCATA is offering the following non-renewable scholarships: 1st Place ($2000), 2nd Place ($1500), and 3rd Place ($1000). NAFEPA is distributing four $2,500 non-renewable scholarships. Two scholarships are for students pursuing degrees in education. The other two scholarships will be awarded to applicants pursuing degrees in any field of study. DEADLINE: January 16, 2025

    Miss the District Deadline to Register for SAT or ACT?

    Yes, we are extending the deadline for our 3rd year and 4th year students to register for one of these tests until 11:59 PM on Friday, December 20th. Just a reminder

    • Only 4th year students who did not take the school day ACT or SAT in the Fall can register.
    • If you have an IEP or 504 plan, you can apply for accommodations. Please send your completed and signed College Board Consent or the ACT Consent forms to Dr. Myers (mmyers@richland2.org) by 11:59 PM on Friday, December 20th.
    • There will be NO extensions or exceptions given after this deadline. If students want to take either assessment, the form MUST submitted by the form by the December 20th deadline.

    Don’t Miss PCA’s Holiday Extravaganza

    Deadline to Complete Seat Time, Dec 20th

    When do you need to attend Seat Time Recovery? When you have more than 5 absences in a semester A-B class OR more than 3 in an A or B semester class. This week we are adding additional Seat Time Recovery hours on the half days. REMINDER: all excessive absences must be recovered by December 20th if you do not want an FA recorded on your report card. Seat Time Recovery this week is shown below. Please report to the cafeteria on time and with your chromebook.

    • Monday – Wednesday, December 16 – 18: 4:00 – 5:30 PM
    • Thursday, December 19: 12:30 – 5:30 PM
    • Friday, December 20: 12:30 – 3:00 PM

    Although our football season has concluded, our student athletes are being recognized for not only their ability on the field, but in the classroom and community. Will Wilson was named WLTX Player of the Week. Here is the link below to view the clip.     Course Exams Begin TODAY

    That is correct. All 1A and 2A course exams begin today. If missed your Algebra 1, Biology 1, English 2, and/or U.S. History EOC, you must report to the Multipurpose Room at 9:00 AM. Remember all exams count 20% of your final average. So please do your best. If you are making up an EOC please bring your fully charged, school-issued Chromebook and charger the Multipurpose Room. Good luck on your exams.

    It’s EOC Makeup Day

    Students who missed any portion of their English 2 EOC (Reading and/or Writing) or Algebra 1 EOC, will need to report to the Multipurpose Room TODAY by 9:00 AM. Remember this exam counts 20% of your final average. Missing this exam could dropped students’ final grade by 20%. Students making up EOCs will need to bring their fully charged, school-issued Chromebook and charger. A ParentSquare email was sent to students and parents who need to make up their exam today. Their 1st block teachers were also reminded. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Robinson (marirobinson@richland2.org) or Dr. Myers (mmyers@richland2.org).

    We will have Early Bird classes today. 1st Block will begin at 8:50 AM. Please plan accordingly as we also have Biology 1 EOCs and Makeup EOCs in S Building.

    Biology 1 EOC TODAY

    Please report to your testing location in S Building by 9 AM today. Remember EOCs count 20% of your final average so missing it could significantly drop your final average by 20 points or more. Don’t forget to bring your fully charged, school-issued Chromebook and charger. If you missed one of your EOCs, you will also have an opportunity to make it up today as well. We are holding makeups or English 2 and Algebra 1 in Room S108 and U.S. History in Room S205.

    Don’t forget to wear your Flannel today. Also, let’s remember our HOPE 365 goals. Bring in your canned goods, gently used clothing, blankets, and/or socks. We will celebrate our accomplishments at our Winter Wishes Assembly on December 20th. It is our day to impress!!!

    Yes this is correct. For the 2024-2025 school year, any Richland Two student in their 3rd year of high school is eligible to take either the ACT or SAT during the school day for FREE. Also, any senior who did not take either the school-day ACT or SAT during the Fall can also register to take the ACT or SAT in the Spring.

    The ACT will be administered in February; and the SAT will be in March. To register for one of these assessment, students or parents must sign up via ParentPortal by 11:59 PM on December 13, 2024. There will be NO extensions or exceptions. If students want to take either assessment, either the student or the parent MUST complete the form by the December 13th deadline.
