Student Council Conference a Success

Our Student Council traveled to Orlando, Florida for the Southern Association of Student Council Conference. They traveled with our sister schools and represented the great state of South Carolina. All Richland Two schools walked away with several awards. Richland Northeast’s Student Council received 3rd overall in Community Service and Outreach and was also became a Diamond member school! We can’t wait to see what new ideas they implement in RNE.
CavPlex Recognized by SCSPA

SCSPA is the state’s high school journalism organization who recognizes SC schools’ literary magazines and yearbooks. CavPlex received 8 individual awards. In addition to the awards above, two students were honored at the board meeting. Delaney Peck was honored for her opinion article on te Apalachee High School shooting. Her article was in the top 15% of all articles published by student journalists as “Best of SNO”. Lillian Mirosavich was honored for successful completion on the Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism conference. Lillian received a $1000 scholarship and was South Carolina’s representative at the event.

HOPE 365 – Help Us Meet Our Goals

We can not do this without you! We are Stronger Together!!!
“Let’s be the change we want to see in the world”HOPE 365, is our student-led community service project for the holiday season. Our goal of each year is to help those in need in our community by collecting and donating canned goods, socks, toiletries and feminine hygiene products, and toys to various homeless shelters, local food banks, Stuff-A-Bus. Additionally, we are adopting families and senior citizens through Families Helping Families. We want to thank those who donated to our Blood Drive as they helped us accomplish one goal. Continue to lookout for Mrs. Cherry’s emails for updates on totals and additional scheduled events. Help us make our community better and stronger!

Attend Seat Time Recovery TODAY, 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM and recover up to 3 absences in one class. If you are unable to attend today, please click HERE to register for an after school session or another Saturday session. The last day to recover absences without receiving an FA on your report card is Thursday, December 19, 2024.
Please note, absences can ONLY be recovered by attending Seat Time in person. Canned good donations will ONLY clear Detention hours due to tardies.

Student Government and our student athletes visited Conder Elementary to read to students and to share some words of wisdom. Football player, Brandon McFadden, attended Conder Elementary School and a few of his teachers were happy to see him come back and speak to the current students. Pink Fashion Show A Huge Success

Our 2nd Annual 50 Shades of Pink fashion show, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, was amazing! We want to thank you to Richland Two Superintendent Dr. Moore, Executive Stafff, Dr. Thomas, and the RNE staff and students who participated and supported this event. Most importantly, thank you to our SURVIVORS, who also participated. Remember, โPink is Stronger Than You Thinkโ!
Ellis, HR New Teacher on the Block

District Honor Choir & Region Nominations

Culinary Arts Experience Fine Dining

Chef Wrightson receently took her Culinary Arts Management Two students to Smoked, a fine dining restaurant on Main Street. With the assistance of a Richland Northeast Culinary graduate and current employee of Smoked, Chef Wrightson met with Chef Tim, who was also excited about students coming to visit. During the visit, they were seated in a beautiful private dining room and was served a 4-course meal which was introduced and described by Chef Tim. Additionally, three of the kitchen staff, to include the RNE graduate talked with Chef’s students about their current roles, academic and career paths, and future goals. All three are graduates of Johnson & Wales University, Chef Wrightson’s Alma Mater. Richland Northeast would like to express their gratitude to Chef Tim for providing the wonderful experience and donating his time and resources to our students.

Cadet Receives 200K Scholarship

Senior Jordyn Williams, an NJROTC cadet and Palmetto Center for the Arts (PCA) student, recently received a ROTC scholarship worth $200,000. Her college choices are Howard, CAU, and Spellman. Congratulations, Jordyn, we are so proud of you. OORAH!!!
