    Winter Choral Concert Next Tuesday

    A great way to start off the Holiday Season.

    Deadline to Complete Seat Time, Dec 19th

    If you have more than 5 absences in a semester A-B class or more than 3 in an A or B semester class, you must recover all absences over these requirements by 5:30 PM on December 19th. After this date, any students who have not recovered all of their absences in one or more courses will receive an FA on their report card. Please understand that absences are absences according to the SC State Attendance Laws. All absences noted as excused, unexcused, medical, out-of-school suspension, or recommendation for expulsion are required to be recovered if they exceed the attendance requirements.

    Parents/Guardians, please check your email. If your child is over the required number of absences required by State, you and your received an email from Mrs. Clarke, our Attendance Secretary. Please considered bringing them to school TODAY by 8:00 AM to complete Seat Time Recovery.


    Missed English 2 EOC?

    Your makeup will be on Monday, December 9th in the Multipurpose Room (MPR). The MPR is located on the 1st floor of E Building next to E111B. Please arrive by 9 AM with your fully-charged, school-issued Chromebook. It is also highly recommended that you also bring your Chromebook charger.

    Remember all electronic communications (cellphones, smart watches, headphones, tablets, etc) are prohibited in the testing room. You will be required to remove and turn off all ECDs as soon as you enter the room.     A time for Celebration & Giving. If you haven’t already, help us reach our Winter Service Projects’ Goals.

    English 2 Reading TODAY

    English 2 students will report to the same testing locations they reported to yesterday to complete the 2nd half of their English 2 exam — English 2 Reading. We had a great turnout yesterday — 94% of our English 2 students tested. Let’s keep continue showing up. Remember to do your best as this exam counts 20% of your final average in English 2.

    Don’t forget:

    • Report to your testing location by 9:00 AM
    • Bring your fully-charged, school-issued Chromebook
    • Bring your Chromebook charger
    • Turn off & remove all smart watches, headphones, cell phone, and any other electronic communication device before entering S Building.

    Seat Time Recovery & Saturday Work Detail Tomorrow

    EOCs Begin Today – English 2 Writing

    All English 2 students will begin taking the 1st section for their EOC TODAY. Yes, the Writing section will be today. They will take Reading tomorrow. Students MUST report to their testing locations by 9:00 AM with their fully-charged, school-issued Chromebook. Please do your best not to schedule any off-campus appointments on EOC testing days as the number of makeup days are limited.

    It is highly recommended that they also bring their charger. The following items are prohibited in S Building during testing: smart watches, headphones, cell phone, and any other electronic communication device. Handling these devices at any time while testing is going on could result in disciplinary issues.

    Applications are now open and will close on January 21, 2025. Click HERE to learn more and apply TODAY.

    The Bezos Scholars Program (BSP) is looking for current juniors to apply to a transformative leadership development program. Successful Scholars are passionate, intellectually curious young people who are rising leaders in their
    schools and communities. BSP helps build leadership skills through project-based learning, transforming students’ ideas into action that foster positive change in their communities. To apply, students must also nominate a RNE staff person as their educator who will also serve as their mentor, advocate, and ally and participate fully in the program.

    Studets and eductors from the United States & Africa will participate ina a no-
    cost leadership training program, that begings with an all-expenses paid summer experience to the Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen, CO. Scholars will engage with global leaders to create and implement a project that raises
    awareness and mobilizes action to address a need in their hometown. The program culminates in Scholars receiving $1000 in funding to launch and lead community change projects.
