    $10,000 Youth Challenge, Deadline February 1st

    That’s correct, create a fun environmental project for a chance to receive $10,000! The National Geographic Society is delighted to share the Slingshot Challenge. This is an opportunity to showcase students’ ideas to slingshot our planet forward. Calling all 13-18 year old students to create a one-minute video with a solution to a current environmental problem. From cleaning our air to reviving our oceans, students are encouraged to creatively tackle some of the biggest environmental challenges we face to create a better world for everyone.

    Regular District Operations TODAY

    Richland Two schools and district offices will resume a normal operating schedule today. Schools will start at their normal times (regularly scheduled late start for high schools), and buses will run on their regular schedules. All before and after-school activities will resume on their normal schedules as well. To ensure a safe return to school tomorrow, the Operations Department checked roads and school administrators checked the campuses.ย 

    As a reminder, all assignments from yesterday (Tuesday, January 9th) must be completed and turned in by Friday, January 12, 2024 in order for students to be marked present for Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

    School start times

    • Elementary: 7:40 AM
    • Middle: 8:20 AM
    • High: 9:50 AM (Late start Wednesday)
