    Summer Opportunity for Students

    The South Carolina Youth Collective Fellows are social justice and civics-minded high school students from across SC. Students will participate in community-building exercises, learn civil rights history through activities and field trips, plan to lead a workshop on race and reconciliation, and learn how to plan and implement a project in their home community.     Choice 2 Application Process

    The application process for Choice 2 began Monday, May 1st at 8 AM and will close on Monday, May 29th at 5 PM. Through the Choice Program, families can apply for magnet programs, the virtual school, or Expanded Choice, which allows students to attend a school outside of their zoned area. Please remember that some schools or magnet programs may be closed to Choice. A list of those schools can be found on our website atย richland2.org/choice.

    Yes, it is that time again. Annual Registration is the process that includes providing proof of residence, verifying student information, and reviewing and completing parent/guardian forms.     Love to Swim…

    The Swim Team is looking for students who can swim a full length of the pool without stopping or touching the bottom no matter how you get to the other end of the pool. Tryouts are not needed to participate. Practice is 6:30 – 7:45 PM on Mondays – Thursdays and the season includes 8 meets. If interested and want more information about the swim team or summer swim lessons, please email Ms. Brooks (albrooks@richland2.org) or stop by A111.

    Requirements:

    • Create PlanetHS account (parents and students)
    • Submit required athletic documentation
    • Have good attendance, grades, and character
    • No excessive or major discipline issues
