DUE TODAY, FEB 20TH: SCAAA Essay Scholarship

The SCAAA 2026 Essay Scholarship offers SC high school seniors the opportunity to earn financial aid based on their athletic and academic achievements. To qualify, students must maintain 1) a B+ average, 2) rank in the top 25% of their class, OR 3) meet specific ACT/SAT score requirements.

Also, applicants must have participated in at least 2 sports for 2 years each AND earned a varsity letter in both. Awards are tiered, beginning with a $500 state-level scholarship for one male and one female athlete, with the potential to advance to a $1,500 sectional award or a $2,500 national scholarship.

The application proccess requires a completed essay and a letter of recommendation from the school’s Athletic Administrator or Director. Are you a current 8th or 9th grade student attending Richland Northeast High School in 2026-2027 who….

  • is at least B student in your present academic classes
  • works hard in class
  • has a positive attitude
  • can & is willing to work with others
  • wants support in rigorous courses
  • wants a place to “BELONG” at school
